Make Copilot faster started
We've recently started using Akamai for Copilot and are currently measuring its effectiveness. Check out http://www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2009/02/05.html for more information.

Auto-reconfigure Windows firewall.
When running for the first time it would be great if CoPilot could add an exception for itself the Windows firewall software like many applications. Most of our failed connects are due to the client's Windows firewall. Trying to guess how to add an exception is kind of a pain.

Support accessing computers that are not logged in or locked started
Sometimes the computer I'm remotely accessing is not logged in or the login is locked. Make it work more like remote desktop connection or gotomypc where you can login or unlock the PC remotely with copilot.
Thanks for the suggestion. We are looking into a solution for locked and logged out workstations that we hope to get working soon. We'll keep this thread updated with our progress.

UK/EU server: faster for those users in terms of latency started
I use it a lot for UK customers, and I am in the UK, so seems silly from an efficiency/latency point of view to everything route abroad first.
We are just about to release service changes that should improve the speed of Copilot outside the US. We'll be testing it over the next few months, so please let us know if you notice any changes.

Allow click Vista UAC "Accept or Deny" messages remotely planned
One problem I have is that if the User Account Control box comes up to run a program that needs Administrator priviledges, the users at the controlled computer needs to click Accept; I can't do it.
Your competitor Instant Housecall claims to handle this, so obviously it's possible.

Improve Dual Monitor Handling
I realize you guys don't support dual monitors, its in the faq, etc. Maybe having a good solution for this, especially in the case where the client user only has one screen, is hard to even design well, much less implement.
However, at our firm, we use Copilot all the time to provide remote sup... more

Allow us to add passwords to OneClick computers
One-Click's "Disable Connection Confirmation" works great --- but would be nice (more assuring) if the OneClick computer owner could also setup access passwords on those computers. So that when we connect to the OneClick computer, we are presented with a password prompt.

Provide online utility to measure connection speed
It would be helpful if the helper and the person being helped could test their current connection speed before attempting to connect and make sure they're above whatever standard you recommend. Even though both may have a "broadband" connection, sometimes connection speed is still way t... more

have password change option for Admins
We use Copilot for multiple Desktop Admins across a large geographic area. We have 3 Admins for ~30 users. When they forget or lose their passwords, I should be able to reset it for them as an Admin, not delete and re-create the account again.
